The ICON Award recognizes an individual who has made an exceptional and lasting impact on the Canadian events industry. This honour celebrates visionary leadership, innovation, mentorship, and a legacy of excellence that has shaped the profession and inspired the industry.
Who Can Be Nominated
Anyone in the Canadian events industry may nominate an individual who has demonstrated outstanding contributions to the field. Nominees may include event professionals, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, or advocates who have significantly influenced the growth and evolution of the industry. There is no fee to enter this category. Those selected for nomination will be notified and asked to accept the nomination. The winners will be announced at the Canadian Event Awards Gala on April 29 in Toronto.
Requirements
Nominees should demonstrate:
- Long-term leadership and influence in the Canadian events industry - over 20 years
- Exceptional professional achievement and innovation
- Commitment to mentorship, community, or industry advancement
- A respected legacy that has inspired peers and elevated industry standards
